That's exactly what I write above but you are too fanatic to even understand that you are just a worshipper.
All the governments fear Islam because Islam teaches that nationalism and other fake religions are alienation. But governments of the world control people with those alienations.
There is no difference between the USA, France, China or an Arabic kingdom: to exist they need to gather people around their lies (my this, my that, our this, our that). At the end of day, they all have the same speech and when needed they all rally to protect their common falsehood.
China fears the Muslims it oppresses the same way India does, the same way Russia does, the same way France provides weapons to Al Sissi to kill Muslims in Egypt, the same way EU supports the dictatorship in Mali, the same way the USA to maintain their grip, fight muslims around the world, the same way European countries have been fearing Islam for centuries.
It is no coincidence that the Arab spring resulted in the return to the previous situation or worse. That's because all the powers that got involved like the western powers, Turkey, the Arabian kingdoms and dictators, were all acting to counter the uprising. At the end of the day, all those powers will help each other because they are all based on idolatry.
The problem with your reasoning is the problem in itself. You assume you are better because actually you don't know what you don't know. With technology people became like chatGPT they talk about everything but know nothing.
Today people have a lot of information but no knowledge, no practical experience of life, no aptitude to analysis: copy-paste and mimics.

Religion is what you worship. You are an idolater if you worship technology. Islam says "they worship what they make with their own hands".

By the way, the atheists claim that they make the technology but it's the other way around it's the technology that blinds them: they are just idolaters.
In other words, there is no opposition between technology and pure monotheism : it is Islam that radically changed the way we abstract the world, the problem is in the relation people have with things they make with their hands and worship.

I agree on COVID. It was my thought on day one but I disagree on religion.
Atheism has been the leading religion for more than 2 centuries and it has been awful in all aspects. Even "science" is fully bloated by atheist paradigms that invariably lead to dead-ends and ignorance. Atheism simplifies everything out of its reach: human beings are animals which are like basic machines where you press a button you got an output and since there is no God, well everything happend by itself et voilà...
Human beings are believing beings. That's why the propaganda is so high in every organization. If you lend your beliefs to someone you are their slave.
The biggest misconception and biggest lie of the atheist religion is that technological progress comes with atheism. Technological progress comes with time, a step after another invariably (even during the powerful church in Europe). Just as the invention of the wheel is still the most relevant invention to date. Atheists are basic worshipers of technology that to the extreme think they are gods themselves.
Atheist falsely say "religion" as if they were above and that all religion were the same: just beliefs. But both those claims are false. Atheism is a poor religion but it is a religion nonetheless. The religions are not just beliefs: human beings are believers, worshipers. It's their nature.
I grew up in Christian schools in an atheist environment and I am a Muslim.
Still most of you have been educated into hatred against Islam and religion without knowing what the matter is: just "oh it's religion".
The changes that occured in Europe have their roots in the Islamic civilization. Indeed the debt is so high to assume that the West keeps belittling the importance of Islam.
Some of the philosophers of the 18th had an admirative position on Islam and even regretted that the church prevented knowledge of Islam the same way atheist do nowadays.
Most atheists will claim that they are modern, advanced and so on and they will go worship the republic, the nation or whatever fake idols they need to enslave those who believe them. Islam rejects tribalism (nationalism) as well as kingdoms which are associated with oppression.
But it doesn't bother you that every megalomaniac wins you with "we are American, we are the great America".
And that's the point.
UK, the USA, China, France, Russia, Egypt and so on are all nationalist state where the only view you are allowed is to worship the Nation.
In the West, atheism is so deeply rooted that people just can't think otherwise. There is absolutely no freedom in this, you can't put atheism into question. It is the sole way of thinking. Everything comes from that. The only religion that dictates all is atheism.

It is probably a step in the right direction but my remark was also questioning the strategy when there are other cross platform solutions that adopted a different approach: GO, Flutter (for those I tried).

In 2003, Jacques Chirac was the President of France and De Villepin the Minister of Foreign Affairs. They opposed the US on the war on Iraq. De Villepin was very famous and popular in France. A few years later they were both destroyed and facing prison. They were later cleared but it took years during which they were the plaque. Chirac's career was done but it was even more dramatic for De Villepin who was seen as the future president and became the one person to avoid.
The US don't care about the security council. They just use it to add some sort of legitimacy to what they want but they do without anyway.

How do you think the french and English were considering africans? They were saying that not all races are equal when it comes to evolution.

This is exactly the way France works and even worse as it is in the hands of some sort of sect that protects itself. In France, the corruption case would simply never have had appeared.
The thing is even more obvious when one looks at all the fines that France was exposed to by the European Commission because it refused to apply the rules of unrestricted access to it's market by other EU members.
You don't understand the West at all. If needed (most of the time no one will question what these agencies do), depending on the period all you have to say is "communist threat, or terrorist threat, we have to be ahead of the threat to protect our freedom" and there won't be a single person to question what you do. Would you like to be called a traitor?
Do some research and look at the number of crazy and obviously unrealistic projects that were funded with big money (from who's pockets?) in the name of "if we don't do it the Soviets will". It works all the time.
Even abroad, look at the way the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan were covered by the media : patriotic lies all the way. And when things get out of control, there is still Hollywood and it's army of pretenders ready for another "Saving private criminal".
If you think "these" need any arrangement to do whatever they want, then you are still watching too much Hollywood...
This is so far from the truth for a very simple reason: the more digital a society is the easier and obvious the surveillance is.
Your bank account, your credit cards, ... tell a lot about you. Banks have files on their customers: they know you better than you know yourself. For all the pretexts that are linked to security, the governments have all those information too.

Three remarks:

3. The war against Hitler was won by the Russians. Even those french terrorists you say helped win the war were communists. The US got into the war and staged the liberation when the war was already over with the aim to counter the Soviet union.
