No, this is a supercomputer Samsung created to test integration of its PIM chips with a GPU. The MI100 that's available on the market doesn't include PIM. Samsung can't consider itself a customer.

I don't think that's the smoking gun you think it is. It makes sense to me that someone would use a cheap, readily available laptop chassis from an ODM to test a RISC-V chip for a laptop. Like we said in the article, this is likely a prototype, not a commercial product, and ISCAS already said it was planning RISC-V laptops for 2022. It's also important to note this came from a presentation that was largely ignored by the press. I just happened to have the gumption to get up super early in the morning on my side of the pond to listen in on a livestream. They were mainly showing this to RISC-V developers.
