Chinese students
At undergraduate level, and from a teaching perspective, Chinese students staying at home is no great loss. In general, they add nothing to a course - they do not engage with tutors, produce exam answers with English so mangled it takes much more time to mark, and raise hell if they fail. None of this is unique to Chinese students, of course, but with them making up a large percentage of the cohort of some courses it becomes a problem. The only people who would complain if China made it more difficult for their young people to come here for I graduate education are the beancounters and Principals on hugely inflated wages.
