The graph

An image of the graph would have been nice. I wonder whether there is some rearrangement of quarks within the proton which has to pass some sort of threshold, like a catastrophe curve (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Catastrophe_theory). A common everyday object that exhibits such an event is a snap bracelet (https://www.ebay.co.uk/b/snap-bracelet/bn_7024785996) which has two states of stability one straight and the other curved and transitions between the two with a small amount of effort.

Not sure I've explained this at all well, but the proton result is interesting.
