While I have some affection for some things that the USA supposedly stands for (and likes to lecture the world that it stands for), what it actually is and what it puts into practice is quite different.
I would prefer that in The Reg to keep to technical discussions. Huawei was audited by HM Gov and was said to have no back doors. Then along comes the USA. You'd better get with the program, footrests. Or else. So for non-technical reasons a technology leader has been excluded from here. To suit the USA. Freedom? It's freedom to do what the USA tells us.
