Are you sure about that? It's not the 1970s where the cops were using CB radios. Today the cops have location transponders that are always on. In fact, some well known radar detector manufacturers are looking into trying to use this transponder data as a police car detector. They also have encrypted comm links now. I don't know specificaly how their systems work, but encrypted links in general are always on. Always on gives a potential spy tons more data to sift and the spy won't know what is inteligence and what is dead air. If this is the case, then the cop car may be confusing the Tesla. I'm not saying it's an excuse, but if this is the case then it means Tesla overlooked the possibiity of outside transmitters causing interference with its systems. This would be a huge miss.
