Many distributed volunteer Computing projects like GPUGRID.net, Folding@home and Einstein@home use GPUs. I am using two GTX nVidia boards but I cannot afford costlier GPU boards like RTX 3090.But many volunteers spend a lot of money to upgrade their PCs, Windows, Linux or Mac.
