Yup. In fact, the problem here is the topic is slightly wrongly phrased, because as it stands, the motion should easily pass. Sure, a unified, agnostic software environment can be achieved - and then another one, and then another one, and then another one. The tricky part is stopping at one, and somehow avoiding somebody deciding they can do it better, and taking enough people with them...
