Absolutely nothing suspicious here. I write this on the day (21/10/21) india competed 1 billion doses.
We have now vaccinated >75% of 18+ population with 1st dose and close to 40% fully vaccinated.
In the city where I come from, >95% of 18+ population has had 1 shot and >50% have had both shots.
There are vaccines aplenty. A large number of companies (in all sectors) organised vaccine camps for staff & family, at their premises or tied up with pvt hospitals. The companies bore the cost of vaccines and the camps.
25% of all vaccine production was available for paid vaccinations conducted by private hospitals. It was free for all at govt facilities.
So no fast track or reservation for anybody was required.
