That's all well and good, but tell that to the people of Somerdale, Keynsham near Bristol.

They had an assurance first from Cadbury, and then Kraft that the site would remain open (even though Cadbury had originally been wanting to close it), right up until the deal went through, and then Kraft said it would close within a year. The equipment was all sent to Poland.

Kraft reassured the UK Government that was investigating the take-over that they would keep it open, and immediately went back on their word when the deal was complete.

Before anybody says, Kraft bought Cadbury before they split to form Mondelez, which is a wholly owned subsidiary of Kraft.
