Having been on the receiving end of an out of control Multinational I would think China is going to be rather more interested in maintaining control of it's companies than we are in the west.
The first truly spectacular example of what happens when a multinational really goes out of control was the East India Company, which ended up owning it's own Army and Navy, and through those it's own Empire and foreign policy (see the opium war where the EIC successfully dragged the UK PLC into a war against China pretty much for the sole benefit of the EIC)
