Gmail hissy fits

Try using Thunderbird to access gmail on travel. Gmail will throw a hissy fit when your IP address changes, and treat you as an impostor, until you click on the magic link (https://www.google.com/accounts/DisplayUnlockCaptcha). It seems to be based on geolocation, not on your precise address.

OTOH you do *not* need to use Chrome to access gmail/webmail. Any competent browser will do; I use an oldish Firefox.
