Speaking of which, an F35 managed to shoot itself recently.
The F-35's systems are so advanced and intelligent, it developed depression and wanted out. There were some other odd problems, like engine degradation leading to developing problems and heavy landings. Or pilots developing barotrauma due to cockpit pressure changes. Or non-US operators not being able to keep secret details of how they're using their F-35s.
Turning the UK's carriers into drone motherships seems like a much better idea.
