It was dumb because it has always been far better to have explicit dependency information driving the process. Certainly, it is "easy" to reorder your scripts currently--but it is _hard_ to know if you can do so safely. I call it "dumb" because tribal knowledge has never been an acceptable way to ensure good outcomes with computers.
