NHS contact tracing app isn't really anonymous, is riddled with bugs, and is open to abuse. Good thing we're not in the middle of a pandemic, eh?

"they could always add security afterwards"

Conventional wisdom is that it's very difficult to add in security afterwards. Design it to be secure from the start.
