At one point AMD chips do cache authorised checks or something. Not for alk steps. But there is at least one extra feature of security in their cache or speculative calc system. One of the last meltdown exploit was partially avoided due to this, and made worse on Intel chips as those did not check which thread was getting the cache (which would take longer).
