The main problem with Access is that it makes it really easy for users to bypass IT.

We've had a user who, over the years, moved a lot within the company and that, in every department he was in, he left MS Access apps that all became business critical. Over the years we've been porting them all into our internal platform, but they seem to still keep popping up everywhere!
