Indeed.. Which is why I doubted the explanation, ie if it was someone misconfiguring a network within 2400, then I'd have expected more hex in the advertisment. It doesn't seem right that it was just missing a digit off the subnet size. But it's also why I don't really like v6, ie it's not very human friendly. As an experiment, try getting someone to correctly configure address/netmask when you've got 2 engineers in noisy machine rooms.
