One of the teams I supported once capped off a month of crunch with an all-nighter. The whole team worked from 8am Thursday to 5pm Friday.
They got their simulations done, their results produced, job delivered, off to the pub to celebrate hitting this quarter's deadline.
It took a solid month to fix all the cockups they'd made (which did not set things up well for the next quarter). The team manager responsible was "redeployed" and left the company shortly afterwards, so silver linings.
