t's very simple in the end, the customer is just not willing to pay for quality. That's also not a problem that's unique to software, you see that everywhere. It's a problem of a culture where we only look at initial costs and fully expect to replace things pretty quickly. To some extend it even makes sense, often software is going to be outdated way before all bugs are fixed.

Buying cheap and replacing may be true for individual, but is it really worth it for industrial?

And software being outdated is pure BS served by the sale department of the software companies. 99% of the new features added in the last 10 years are useless, why developing a new version instead of fixing the bugs?

Who care buzzword and latest bandwagon?
