Uber won't face criminal charges after its robo-car killed woman crossing street

This is not about the code or the autonomous vehicle. There was a human supposedly in charge of the car, who didn't see the pedestrian in the dark.

This should be seen as a positive thing for autonomous vehicles because at least it would have applied brakes. If this were a normal car the woman would still have died, but there would be no news story, as happens every day around the world.
