Look before you leap!
Actually it's perfectly possible to boot Linux on the new Macs fitted with the T2 chip:
* Start up in the Recovery Console (Command-R).
* Select Startup Security Utility from the menu.
* Enable or disable Secure Boot to taste.
There is nothing so satisfying as pricking the pomposity of the self-righteous with the poignard of truth.
