Had a sub £100 Huawei Android phone around 2011 and was quite impressed with the specs at the time compared to other phones of a similar price. The most I have paid for a Smart phone has been £150 as I never felt the need to pay more for the feature of more expensive phones as I generally use it for web surfing, watching online videos, emails and messaging apps so don't need 8 core CPU and 6GB of RAM that you get on more expensive phones. Samsung never really offered anything worth buying at the £100 price point anyway.
