Did it, thanks. I was forced to buy a new computer with Windows 10 on it. The day I spent installing and customizing Linux was far more productive than the weeks I would have struggled with Windows trying to secure it and tune it.
As a bonus, the one program that I didn't have a Linux native replacement for turned out to run 'out of the box' in WINE, which was installed by default. It was a game, nice to have, but not crucial or time sensitive to get it running.
