Aren't we focusing too much on this 98% figure? While results are this poor, the fuzz aren't going to trust it; they'll check and double-check, using their own eyes.
We really need to start to worry when the failure rate drops below 50/40/30%. That's when the fuzz start trusting it - not bothering with an eyeball check (and then blaming the computer when the guy sues).
