This is what new adopters totally don't understand. Google et al pay their developers insane amounts of money, only hire the best, and have an insane work culture that basically has them living at work. It doesn't work when you have bargain-basement outsourcers or even low-skilled in house devs writing your software, because the whole idea of DevOps is that the developers have more skin in the game and have to fix operational problems on their own.
