Class action
Ugh, class action. The only real winners are the lawyers. With a secondary victory for the corporation being sued. The losers are everyone who actually suffered a loss from the corporation's wrongdoing.
Intel will be made to pay out millions of dollars, which may affect their stock price a little for a while, but ultimately, they can afford it. And having settled the class action, it's case closed for them, no-one can come after them for it any more.
Meanwhile the affected millions of consumers each get their share of the millions of dollars (minus lawyers' fees), probably amounting to about 99 cents each.
