Well, what about the games that sell add-ons? You know, where only those who are willing to pay the most will win. They're the real cheats (the studio or gamer, take your pick).
Anyway, sometimes creating the mods is the game.
They should allow mods and cheats - but flag the person up as doing so, so the "honest" players know. Let the modders play amongst each other.
But, being open and accepting isn't one of Microsoft's qualities.
