Airbus and autonomous cars
So Airbus has a highly automated cockpit and they're finding that pilots get "lazy" and their skills at flying the plane degrade. Air France flight 447 crashed into the sea because the pilots failed to "fly" the aircraft. The Tesla system will cause driver complacency (as we have seen) and drivers, who are almost never trained to the levels required of pilots, will continue to crash. The gentleman killed was expected to be a "monitor" of the system. Unfortunately, we have seen how that really doesn't work in the real world. Now add to the mix auto manufacturers racing to get product out the door with a "good enough" mentality and we will see continued deaths and mayhem on our highways. When a team doesn't do the basics (like good product requirements) the results will be less than stellar.
