Yup, that'd be a pretty sensible idea. Which is almost certainly why it's not been done, since there doesn't appear to have been any input from UI/UX designers in the decision to put the horns there. May as well use them for something, since the alternative appears to be just leaving them blank permanently... which makes removing the bezel completely pointless.
