At the 4% interest rate (for £41k + earners) it would take 28 years to pay off a 50k loan at 3k/pa.

Being inflation linked it is set to be much longer and money is borrowed and accruing interest before you start paying it off and you potentially lost 3 years of earnings while you were at university and employers may value 3 years of work experience more than a degree - especially one that 'just proves you can learn'.

So no it doesn't seem close to worth it.
