The thing they hate most....
It works, it's reliable, and it's easy to use.
So no room for add-ons that provide missing functionality. And no option to upgrade it at regular intervals so that they can use the download as a vehicle to install new stuff you don't want.
If it ain't broke they can't make you fix it.
