There seems to be plenty of case law that says it's not illegal, and plenty of industry shills that would rather the law wasn't what it actually is.
Making it available for download, now that's a different matter. Still not theft, mind you.
But hey, it's 2017, and alternative facts are now mainstream, not just for content providers and their spokespeople.
