Yep. Interviewed a few of those. Some answers to problem-sloving questions I posed - where I was looking for a methodical approach to demonstrate an ability to think - include
"Which module was that in?"
"I don't think we covered that."
"I could probably answer that if I had the books to hand"
The jobs went to the non-certified fresh science graduates who were (a) cheaper and (b) not thick.
