Windows Defender for the general virus/trojan stuff.

EMET on max settings for the Zero Day stuff.

Unchecky for the adware/installer stuff.

AdBlock/NoScript etc. for the web stuff.

Cryptoprevent for the Cryptolocker stuff.

Well its what I use mainly. Big bonus is none of it is nagware or shoutware either!
