I wouldn't refer to these things as smart because they are dumber then a rock. Having car-to-car communication and GPS tracking will be useful so that authorities know where to send the ambulance and tow trucks as autonomous vehicles are allowed on the roadways. Unfortunately you'll probably need to take a number and queue up for service with the rush to market mentality being supported on AVs.
