Because if you're aiming for nitrogen the frequency you need is in the far ultraviolet, which makes it even more dangerous than a CO2 infrared laser.
And if you're aiming for CO2 - might as well if you're burning things - you're not going to fit a useful one into something the size of a blade head.
And even if you could, giving yourself burns instead of small bleeding razor cuts isn't the best idea ever.
KS have done the right thing. If these people discover Magic New Miracle Technology[tm] and build a working prototype with it, then they can think about asking for cash.
Until they do this has "Scam" written all over it in glowing and rather warm letters.
