Hardly news, they did exactly the same when they migrated ex-blueyonder customers a couple of months back. Days of outages, massive spam, loads of emails blocked.
You would have thought they'd have learnt some lessons but it appears not.
Just take one look at the many many complaints on their "community" forum.
