Russians would be delighted to be allowed to bid for some records, Iranians would be even more keen to "co-operate" with China on a "far-reaching range of issues", above and below water. Short of replacing those millions of affected bods (yeah, put them in storage and churn out new model), there's very little that can be done. I bet there's a race to go through the records, both in the US and in China, to see what information can be used immediately, before the other side applies countermeasure.
