PHYSICS APPLECART UPSET as dark energy disappears, Universe slams on brakes

Maybe?

One of the most frequent comments throughout science is some form of "We used to think...". Universal expansion is not immune to that comment.

Prior to the big bang it is said the entire universe was contained in a super tiny enclave and nothing else existed. For something to be tiny there has to be something large. Since there was nothing else to be large the entire universe had no size. For something to be fast there has to be something slow. Same thing. There was no speed. The bag bang, if that is what happened who knows why, could have occurred in place, initiating motion for its individual particles that had been contained motionless relative to each other, and starting the process of assembly and dis-assembly , from the interplay of gravity energy and motion energy, that continues and will continue. Or not!
