Ideas? Yes. Just don't depend on the alias rm='rm -i'. If you can't use rm safely, you should probably step away from the keyboard altogether.
What happens when you run rm as a different user or on a different system, that doesn't have the alias crutch?
I'll bet you even do "yes | rm *" to remove lots of files without having to ack each one, don't you?
