He was a beancounter with no meaningful experience, it was OBVIOUS he's there to bring down the price of Nokia's excellent hardware/design divbision and top-notch worldwide distribution channel, that's all MSFT wanted from the beginning, nothing else, and those utterly clueless idiots sitting on the board of Nokia went along with it, causing probably the single biggest shareholder loss in Finnish history.
