Objective C isn't a super set of C++, it's C with smalltalk'esk addon's.
Linux kernel is written in C, Android is Java stuff stuck on top of it.
Windows Phone, (i.e. CE in the old days, or current mangliing), is written in C.
(Mk 2 - Should be non controversial as they are facts or maybe opinion - not entirely sure why the last post was rejected - ummm).
