Before making a right wing knee-jerk DV, think about it. what is the exact mechanism that results in this insanity? the market. it might be broken, but nonetheless that's what it is. the power resides with the politicians, being a politician is heinously expensive, so if you want to continue to be a politician you gotta suck a lot of cocks. Corporations have a shitload of cash which they (wisely) invest in buying the government, who in turn ensure the corp is still there writing cheques at the next electoral cycle.
supply and demand, just in this instance (and lets be honest in just about every other conceivable instance) the people get screwed along the way.
democracy don't mean shit if collectively you are going to consistently vote like twats.
