    Staying power

    "breaks energy record"

The headline was probably a deliberate attempt at a joke...

    No joke!

"Large Hardon Collider"? I think I dated her. What a pain. Talk about the energy needed to stop an aircraft carrier... I know what that poor dump core endures.

    @ nickrw - not Friday?

It was when the Telegraph did it, so no LHC-induced temporal anomaly required.

Oh, I see... it was on a web page, also the LHC

    So, where's the Paris angle?

... "Large hardon", that should cover it...

    Large Hardon Colliding....

sounds rather painful to me. Unless its some kind of figurative description of the pre-match smack talking you see in pro wrestling.

Terminator icon, because I always knew that there was something sinister about the LHC. All this mini-black hole stuff was really a cover for the true purpose of the collider--to smack collective mankind in the family jewels!!

Good job it wasn't the print version: I hate it when the pages get stuck together. That's what happened when I tried to publish my paper on G-String Theory.

I feel obliged to remind all the dedicated sub-ed's at El Reg of the article posted by your good selves just under 2 weeks ago, which referred to a 'bugger overflow vulnerability' - and , yes, I *do* have a screen shot to prove it, although regretably no play-mobil reconstruction of same.
