Hamsters are very intelligent rodents
Many years ago, some young (then about eight and five years old, respectively) relatives had a pet hamster. The hamster got along with the cat, the dog, and everyone _except_ the girls’ mother. There was instant and intense Do Not Like, rising to the level of attempted biting on the part of the hamster and attempted removal from the house on the part of the mother. Several of the family started calling the hamster’Tribble’ and the mother ‘Klingon’. Not really. The hamster could buy or sell ( but not short ). It was operating during a bull market.
All you have to do during a bull market is buy and hold and it'll go up.
When he continued to trade when the market turned bearish, he lost money ( profits going down from I think it said £60 to £10 ).
Had the option to short been available to the hamster he wouldn't have done so well because he'd be occasionally accidentally betting against a bull market.
