I suspect, for all their faults, manglement in China are closer to reality than their western equivalents. By 2025 much is likely to have changed. Say, locally made processors of many kinds,possibly better computer languages for AI, energy generating systems. I leave energy storage out because it is a lot harder than most pundits realise. Who knows, they may get their fusion projects working, which would change engineering trade and licensing somewhat. However, the technical kudos could engender overconfidence. The 20th century is a litany of disaster due to that. Or, the paranoid should ask, "What do they know we do not"

China makes bad decisions all the time. Criticism of those decisions lands you in jail. This results in all government decisions being based on lies. The only question is how long it will take for the system to collapse.

Propaganda means fake news, falsehoods erected into fact, and brainwashing of the public so everyone believes it.
China does not need better propaganda, no one does.
China, and every other country, needs journalists that can tell the actual truth without fear of reprisal.

Can't see that happening any time ever. The people in power always benefit from the status quo.
For instance, the current set of muppets in power in the UK are there because they gulled about half the population into thinking Brexit would make their lives better. Why would people who benefit mightily from stupidity want to fix stupidity?
There is plenty of incorrect information put into the media by biased people and organizations, but three things apply to it that don't apply in dictatorships:
1. It is done on multiple sides by individuals and small groups, not on one specific side by everybody.
2. It can be contradicted and disproved without someone getting put in prison.
3. There are people who really do keep to journalistic ethics and can be trusted. You just have to find them and have several options in case you find one of your sources less reliable than you thought.

Incorrect. Propaganda means influencing people through psychological manipulation. It doesn't necessarily involve falsehood or brainwashing. The most successful propaganda may involve nothing but absolute truth, but presented in a controlled context, manner and timing.
I remember years ago watching Riefenstahl's 'Triumph of the Will', one of the most famous works of Nazi propaganda. All it shows is footage of a political rally, nothing more. It's incontestably true, yet powerful all the same.
Photos (undoctored), firsthand first-person accounts of events, completely straightforward reporting - all can be and routinely are used for propaganda purposes. For instance, footage of a mother whale trying to nurse her dead calf - that's propaganda. A photo of a dead child. The firsthand account of a victim of Islamic State. Any media with a strong emotional impact qualifies.

Having been on the receiving end of an out of control Multinational I would think China is going to be rather more interested in maintaining control of it's companies than we are in the west.
The first truly spectacular example of what happens when a multinational really goes out of control was the East India Company, which ended up owning it's own Army and Navy, and through those it's own Empire and foreign policy (see the opium war where the EIC successfully dragged the UK PLC into a war against China pretty much for the sole benefit of the EIC)
