    Will other companies take heed that being too close to the Chinese state could well end in disaster?

      I think everyone concerned took heed that what brings disaster is in fact not ties to the Chinese state but rather relying on US components and technologies and suddenly losing access to them because of US actions. So the disaster is not because the Chinese state likes you, it is because the US state dislikes you.

      I am pretty sure the Chinese state will fully support Huawei at this difficult moment and China will develop own competing technologies as a result. Not sure who will win long term but probably not the US interests.
