back to article Looking for something on which to spend all that bonus Bitcoin? How about The Hoff's very own KITT?

Fans of 1980s memorabilia, rejoice! You too can wow your neighbours with your very own KITT, as owned by Knight Rider actor David Hasselhoff. Sadly, the Pontiac Firebird in question, a 1989 model with beige upholstery, is a conversion job decked out to resemble the iconic Knight Industries Two Thousand vehicle. One of several …

    Meh!

My style of iconic motor would be Fred Dibnah's old red shorty LandRover complete with ladder rack made out of scaffold tubes.

I preferred Doyle's RS2000 in the later series.

The first series had them driving a bunch of different BL stuff, including a TR7. </shudder>

My top 5 would probably be:

          1. Bandit Trans Am

          2. General Lee

          3. KITT

          4. Doyle's RS2000

With a white stripe and a dent in the roof, right?

p.s. Just rewatched it, maybe it wasn't the Torino with the dent!

            No van from the A-Team?

One thing bothered me about the van, if you are a high-profile group of fugitives, why run around LA in a highly distinctive vehicle? Wouldn't a Plymouth voyager with wood trim be a better option?

The opening voiceover line about "and if you can find them..." always made me think "duh, look for the black van with the red stripe cruising on I5!"

            Bad list

Number one should be Bond's Aston Martin DB5. Period, end of story.

If you want an affordable movie car replica, Bandit Trans Ams are probably your best bet.

I personally would like Emma Peel's Lotus Elan from the original Avengers although I'd also like Steed's (and Bond's from the books) Blower Bentley.

If you can have that, why not ask for Airwolf.

More Magnum PI Ferrari 308/328 GTS QV for me. But I'm not fussy, a Cannonball Run Lamborghini Countach or Bond's Lotus Esprit S1 also appeal.

            A Friend of Mine

Managed to source a set of the original moulds for The Doctors beloved Bessie & had them shipped from the UK to Ontario Canada, then repaired the moulds, cast parts & mounted them on a Triumph Spitfire chassis (Ford Anglia's are rather hard to source in Canada for some reason).

The purists will happily note that she's pre-nose job (As seen in The Five Doctors).

    Worth Considering... I Guess

If the amount of 'you have Bitcoin' (or rather, 'Bitcion', 'Bitcoion', and variations on that) spam I'm getting lately is anywhere near true, I'm currently a multi-billionaire.

I need to start drawing up a shopping list.

    The never ending KITT mountain

Jus how many has he had?

Was an Aussie RHD one recently.

At this rate the most common model Firebird will be a KITT replica
