I thought the EU had ended roaming charges, so how come Voda lost money when no-one was roaming?

It only ended roaming charges to the end-customer (and only in the EU). Doesn't say it can't charge the European telcos - and they do. You'll also note that profits were up - precisely because they weren't also paying the European telcos for the EU roaming that their UK customers did on the continent.

My crocodile tears are burning down my cheeks. I suppose the next step is to place a large number of staff on warning, provide them with 6 months furlough and let the taxpayer pick up the redundancy package.
